The Texas LP is Still Waiting to Hear from the Ethical Tom Glass

Question for delegates: two years ago Tom Glass accused State Chair Pat Dixon of corruption. Should he publicly apologize at this year's State Convention?
Jeff Daiell
  • Jeff Daiell I think it goes to the nature of the Kathy AYoungblood-Glass and Tom Glass coterie, Lee: their willingness to stoop really low.

    Jeff
  • Johnny Johnson This is the HERE AND NOW!! Let's Can the Yesterday and Improve on ourselves for a Brighter Tomorrow!! NEGATIVES GO NOWHERE!!
  • Johnny Johnson Thanks for the Welcome R. Lee Wright. Good Question! While we all know one man's negative can be Another's Positive..... a Better question would be where is the debate and is the question with merit? We have bigger fish to fry at this stage than what is seen here. If we're not carefull we can lose a country while arguing over what's for dinner!
  • Kerry Douglas McKennon Someone had an issue with this post and reported it. Should it be deleted? I don't have problem with it.
  • Thomas R Hagen Kerry is his a hit and miss thing or what?
  • Thomas R Hagen this queston should be placed under To Glass. I do't hve problem just too many topics and need to addressed to that specific candidate instead of spread out.
  • Thomas R Hagen wht say you--
  • Kerry Douglas McKennon I think Jeff Daiell could put this under Tom G Glass thread. And that is a great place to allow Tom to address this as well as Pat Patrick Dixon.
  • Kerry Douglas McKennon I did say 'could put'. I didn't delete as some one else wanted...
  • Kerry Douglas McKennon I have deleted one post and it was one I started just a few minutes ago because I didn't like the way I worded the question.
  • Thomas R Hagen I guess I misread someplace about posting per deligate. My Bad--sorry.
  • Kerry Douglas McKennon Thomas R Hagen I did suggest as it would be easier to follow...but anyone can start any new thread for any purpose that they desire as long as it is about candidates...or Liberty.
  • Jeff Daiell When was was asked about his accusation, he had no answer. And audits have shown no corruption.

    Jeff
  • Jeff Daiell (He was asked by Pat himself -- Pat had the letter in hand at the time -- when Tom and Pat debated in 2012.)

    Jeff
  • Kathie Glass This is false.

  • Jeff Daiell I have seen the letter, Kathy.

    Jeff
  • Gene Chapman Kathy, it's a primary reason I'm not a Glass fan. This would be good for you and Tom to clear up.
  • Gene Chapman I can handle a little ego in a politician (i. .e when I met you in Amarillo), but I can't handle that kneecapping a saint (Pat Dixon).
  • Charles Lupton "This is false."

I have a copy of the letter accusing Pat of corruption. It is one reason I did not give my full support to your campaign this time and a reason I did give credence to many of the claims against you.

This is old, but from 2012: "Charles: I hope you got my letter. Would like to talk, but don't have your phone number." Tom Glass - May 9th 2012, via Facebook PM. (The state convention was June that year and the corruption letter was sent out in retaliation against Pat due to the Glass claim of lack of support from the state in 2010.) Tom was speaking of that very letter when asking for my support for chair then, but I was working and unable to make the state convention as I took my vacation for the national one.

I gave him my number and he assured me he had the evidence to back up his claims. I've heard nothing on this since other than that Pat was cleared. I haven't seen or heard an apology from Tom.

I haven't concerned myself with this issue as it was largely before my time with LPT. I joined in Jan 2012 and was not part of anything from 2010. Being new to the put, I decided to stay out of any internal politics and simply work to promote Gov. Johnson for the nomination. I attended my first Bexar County meeting then (I believe it was myself, Laura ValleArthur M. Thomas IVand one other there at Gil Robinson's house.) I affiliated there and have been helping with the Bexar County LP since.

P.S. That quote was my very first contact with Tom G Glass.
  • Charles Lupton Dirty politics didn't sit well with me then and still doesn't, but felt it wasn't yet my place to get involved.
